Spirits were high today as Team NAE met to put things back in order after record setting test sessions: Von Armstrong, Ed Shadle, Les Holm, Andrew Kirk, Keith Zanghi, Steve Wallace, Chris Greene, Omar Chramosta, and Steve Green.

Team NAE is always happy when Russ Zanghi, Keith’s dad, drops by to see if his son is behaving himself. What can we tell him? “He’s your son. . .we’re stuck with him.”
So much Alford lakebed came home with us. . . in so many nooks and crannies. . .everywhere. Ed went back to his place to get Steve Green’s trailer out of storage and back to the hangar. It was unloaded for the most part , except for a few pounds of dirt that needed to be shoveled out. Andrew chose to use a broom . Crew Chief Les Holm greets Steve as he appears to retrieve his trailer. Les is the kisser, Steve is the duckee. In the long run, Steve loaded his commuter car up the ramps and into the trailer and headed North to Canada.

Much of the equipment and jet car components that was used during the run tests had to be laid out and pressure washed.
Planning ahead, Ed and Les and Keith and Steve W. are setting schedules for further modifications to the car after review of the data acquired from our mid speed runs. Steve Green and the team reviewed some changes that will be made to the rear axle wheel and braking components to slim down the profile as our future runs will face greater aerodynamic forces. The running axle was installed so that upcoming digital scanning will revisit modifications made to compensate for high speed runs.
Team NAE is sending out a big thank you to all of our sponsors, friends, and followers who have been so faithful and supportive. It has been a long road traveled, but we have an eye on the finish line. Our recent speed runs are what we expected. Sonic booms are yet to come.
