In this update: Unload at SEMA 2014, Las Vegas Convention Center
SEMA 2014 Sponsored By
The team traveling to SEMA 2014 in Las Vegas consisted of Les Holm, Jason Mitchell, Sean Rondestvedt, Eric Wittler, Chris Greene, Don Mitchell, Keith Zanghi and Ed Shadle. The team arrived in the early wee hours only to be told that traffic entering the Las Vegas Convention Center was so backed up our unload would be postponed for 10 hours, until 6 pm that night. At one point the organizers wanted us to unload the vehicle, start it up and drive it over to the spot. Obviously they were unaware of the size and danger of such an idea! Only after we were able to get them to look in the trailer did they realize the dimensions of the car. They also realized the original spot was not going to work; so the convention center personnel went looking for a suitable location for the crowd pleaser.
When we arrived at the new found loacation at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the sun had already slipped over the horizon. So the team started the generators and began unloading the 56 foot long 14,000 lb North American Eagle™
Five hours later the job was done, and so was the team; pretty much worn out! It was time to head back to the hotel and get rested up for opening day.
