Andrew and Keith
A work in progress today as the team picked up where they left off last week. Keith and Andrew went back to the mobilizer winch assembly. After cleaning, all the parts went back together nicely. The powder coated frame was the finishing touch.
Ed wired up the new heavy duty solenoids for the parachute canisters. Combined with the redesigned release mechanism, the chutes will deploy with authority.
Crew Chief Les Holm
Les was engaged with cutting, bending, and installing some new hydraulic tubing for the front steering system. We are in the process of a complete re-design of the steering system. After years of trying to make the previous system work we have now scrapped it.
This past week Lars was busy in his machine shop fabricating brackets and arms for the rotary electronic steering unit. The brackets have been mounted in the car. Next week we will install the computer control module.
Trish and Keith installed Office 365 on some of our working laptops.
Les Holm, Steve Rima, Steve Wallace and Ed Shadle
Steve Rima had his head in the electronics bay, rerouting some air ducts for the cockpit air line.
