NAE™ Project: Update Archives September 3, 2005 Ladies & Gentlemen: Today Ed Shadle, Jon Higley, Bill Eckberg, Steve Wallace, Von Armstrong, Bernard McVay, Ed & Barbara Drumheller II, Tim Finley, John Zambrano, Dave Selby, and John Drury were at the hangar to continue work on the NAE™. Work on hydraulic and electrical modifications were done by a combination of team members. Steve Wallace placed more sensors, Bill Eckberg yanked out more hydraulic tubing, and Tim Finley made adjustments to the front wheel suspension box. Bernard McVay continued work on the canard test bed and Steve Wallace check the sensitivity of the sensor on it. The tail cone was removed from the back of the trailer and placed on a cart, so that the trailer can be transported to Auburn next week for having the large decals applied to both sides of it. Various parts, such as the new rear axle, the hydraulic pump, and the magnetic braking mechanism, are being fabricated in different shops and will be coming back to the hangar soon for installation. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
