NAE™ Project: Update Archives September 11, 2000 With all the bad stuff that has happened lately to the project, some good news for a change. PPG called me today to tell me they will supply all the paint and paint products for the beast. We will be painting it in viper red, very expensive, so I'm very happy about their contribution. Keith and I had Harbor Foam out last week to fill in the wing roots. I'll get the trimming done this week and we should get the wing roots glassed over this weekend. Steve Green has engaged CJ Robers Engineering to verify the design of the front suspension and we will then haul the 104 to Steves shop to begin the building of the front suspension. As soon as we get the last skin pieces repaired, we'll get the fuselage into the paint shop at Bates vocational school where they will shoot it. It'll be nice to get it in color. I'll try to be a little more timely with the emails. My only excuse is that August is always busy with Bonneville. That's all for now.......Ed Shadle We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America?
