Ladies & Gentlemen:

The team arrived at the break of dawn to begin work on assembling the magnetic brakes for the rear axle. It was discovered that a hydraulic part was damaged and was not functioning properly, so a replacement part will have to be delivered first thing the next day.

Meanwhile, several other systems were checked and prepped for a run. Part of the team went out onto the run course to conduct a F.O.D. walk over the first and last mile at each end of the 5 miles. It was amazing how exhausted the group was once we were finished.

By the end of the day the rear axle with the magnetic braking was successfully installed and a functionality test was performed. The team will be ready to go after a quick installation of the replacement part tomorrow morning. Our focus is to test new systems with our goal by Thursday being to reach a sustained speed of 400 MPH over a mile.
