NAE™ Project: Update Archives October 4, 2005 Ladies & Gentlemen: Today, Tuesday, Bernard McVay and Bill Eckberg began work at 6 AM getting more work done in the engine bay. Mainly cleaning out old brackets, cable clamps and other non-useful hardware that should have been removed a long time ago. After many hours of checking and refitting of various hydrulic connections, we were able to maintain 1500 psi nitogen pressure throughout the network of lines, connections, cylinders, dividers and accumulators. We were able to open and close the speed brakes in the advertised manner. After declaring victory, we utilized the new gantry Bernard McVay had built to install the engine. It was a wonderful success! The engine went in as smooth as silk. A long day was put in by Bernard McVay, Bill Eckberg, Omar Chramosta, Keith Zanghi, Sean Rondestvedt and Ed Shadle. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
