Ladies & Gentlemen:

The NAE™ team had another very busy weekend getting a lot of work done on the "beast." Workers that showed up were Ed Shadle, Keith Zanghi, Bernard McVay, Dave Selby, John Zambrano, Scott and Dave from Rapp Hydema U.S. Inc., Ed Drumheller II, Steve and Libby Wallace, John Drury, Sean rondestvedt, Omar Chramosta, Von Armstrong, Bill Eckberg and our newest addition to the firefighter team, Ed's cousin, Rob Martinson and his wife Stacy. Rob will join Sean, Von and Mark Sequin on the fire suppression team for the NAE™.

While the rest of the team is working in the local hangar, Steve Green is building the rear axle/brake assembly in his shop at Eagle Machine, Inc. in Abbottsford, BC. Daryl at Kodiak Mortorsports, also in Abbottsford, is in the process of building another set of rear wheels for the low speed friction brake axle assembly.

Friday - Sept. 30th
Scott and Bernard arrived on Friday afternoon and along with Ed and Keith, spent the evening getting ready for the weekend work party by cleaning up and organizing the shop area. Scott got very busy with bending up new stainless tubing for the engine bay area. Later in the day, a nitrogen test of the hydraulic fittings was completed and the speed brake doors were opened and closed with nitrogen.

Saturday - Oct. 1st
Saturday was a full day getting the new engine installation gantry, designed and built by Bernard McVay, painted and assembled. It really looks great! Loads of work was completed in the hydraulic system, plus Steve and Libby made more progress on completion of the wiring system for all the data acquisition products.

Sunday - Oct. 2nd
Sunday was more of the same with Bernard McVay, Dave Selby, John Zambrano, Steve Wallace, Dave (from Rapp Hydema) Omar and Ed working on more plumbing and installing the newly designed travel axle. Ed built the new strakes under the nose section for keeping nose wheel dust confined under the fuselage rather than getting sucked into the inlets.

Reinstallation of the engine is scheduled for Tuesday morning, so things are beginning to go back together.
