NAE™ Project: Update Archive November 1, 1996 Ladies & Gentlemen: The North American Eagle™ (NAE) Team will be headed up to Canada this weekend and meet with Eagle Machine owner Steve Green. Steve will be doing some additional machine work to the solid billet aluminum wheels. So far test runs have remain under the 300 mph range. The aluminum wheels will be necessary for the high speed test runs. A joint engineering and development agreement with the United States Air Force should be finalized within the next few days. Further engine tuning will commence on Sunday November 10th at Spanaway Airport. Beechwest Aviation again has graciously offered the entire runway to conduct these tests. It appears that the NAE will once again be headed for the East Coast this winter. This time it will be the AUTO EXPO '97, at the Meadowlands. Official announcement will be coming soon. Finally, good news from the Black Rock Desert in northern Nevada. Craig Breedlove walked away from what could have been a tragic incident, when the Spirit of America suddenly rolled over at a reported speed of 675 mph. From photos on CB's web page and AP sources, indicates the car appears to be in very good condition. The accident is testimony to the sound engineering ability of its designer, Craig Breedlove. We have a direct link to Breedlove's site on our "Hot Links" page. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
