NAE™ Project: Update November 7, 2007 Ladies & Gentlemen: Now that the dust from our latest Black Rock desert test session has settled, we'd like to recognize the great folks on the Thrust SSC team who were there to celebrate their 10th anniversary of their record setting achievement. Pictured in the photo above from left to right, are John Coppinger, Mike Horne, Carol Pearce, Steve Georgii, Barbie McSean, Jeremy Davey (and his wife in pink - Glynne's daughter), John Lovatt, Linda and Bill Sherlock, Leigh Remfry, Pete Ross, Glynne Bowsher and at front, Rob Hemper. Not in the picture, but present, was Robert Atkinson. These folks were such a warm, helpful, and friendly bunch of people it was a pleasure to meet them. They were so gracious in inviting us to be part of their celebration at Bev's Miner Bar on Monday evening of October 15th in Gerlach, NV while there. For that, we are eternally grateful to them. To be present at the festivities was an amazingly enjoyable and funny experience. The Richard Noble impersonator did a superb job on the mannerisms of Richard. The skit performed was well done and in true form to the marketing and fundraising skills of Mr. Noble. It was too bad he wasn't there to see it. Most notable was the speech given by guest Rosco McGlashen, who came all the way from Australia to attend this reunion. He spoke to the spirit of brotherhood that the sport of land speed racing is and how supportive the Thrust team was when he needed help in achieving his own record. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
