NAE™ Project:
Update Archive

November 2, 2003

Ladies & Gentlemen:

Saturday several tasks were being worked on simultaneously; electrical, hydraulics, sensors, braking, new truck assessment, and front wheel suspension.

Engine transducerSpeed brake door cylinder

Sean made sure Bernard's bracket mounted to the engine well with the transducer. Ed began building an electrical connection panel for the wiring work. Bob Beisler began assessing the needs for connecting the air brake actuator hydraulic lines which will operate the air brake doors. Steve Wallace spent time checking the condition of the heat sensors in the engine bay for use or replacement. Fortunately, we found all 8 extant sensors were operating correctly. Bernard provided his welding expertise in determining what might be done to make needed modifications on various tasks being considered.

Meanwhile, outside were Marty and John Drury, both experienced drivers, assessed the condition of our newly acquired tractor provided by one of our most enthusiastic sponsors, Magna-Force of Port Angeles, WA. Other than a few small items found needing replacement, the team is delighted to have a rig which make the transport of the NAE this coming winter to Toronto, Canada for their auto show in February.
