NAE™ Project: Update May 8th, 2008 Ladies and Gentlemen: Yesterday the North American Eagle™ team was treated with a very special tour from the Boy Scouts of America. Troop 305 and Troop 571 stopped by the hangar to get a tour from Ed Shadle and Keith Zanghi. The 40 + scouts assembled in front of the 56 foot long Eagle as Ed stood on a stand and gave the history of the project and some of the intricacies of the car. The excitement could be seen on all the scouts faces as they listened and walked around the car. Everyone was in awe when Keith gave a presentation on how the LevX magnetic brakes worked. It was a great way to spend a Wednesday evening and know that our country will be in good hands as these young men become our future leaders. We would like to thank Boy Scout Troup 305 and Troup 571 for stopping by and the following scouts who made it fun for us to share our goal of breaking the world land speed record for automobiles.
