NAE™ Project: Update Archive May 5, 2002 Ladies & Gentlemen: For those who were able to catch the broadcast of the project on KING 5's Evening Magazine show last Thursday, we hope you enjoyed it.
This last Saturday had eight of the crew at the hangar at one time working on various tasks. Ed worked on covering a hole in left side of the cockpit exterior, while Keith & Jon worked on riveting nut plates in along the backbone ribbing for the top panel. Russ began making his mylar master of the eagle on the side for the paint job coming the end of this month. Bill Ekberg, our engine mechanic, continued assembling parts onto the engine; now off the trailer and on its stand. Mark prepped and eventually sprayed on the primer coat over the wing roots just before the crew called it a day. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
