NAE™ Project: Update Archive May 2, 2000 It was a very productive week for the North American Eagle. The team did a lot of replacing of critical skin panels. Litterally hundreds of holes were drilled and re-riveted this weekend. There is still a lot left to do. We are currently working towards a June completion date, with primer being applied later that same month. Following that, the car will be trailered to Eagle Machine where the suspension will be mounted. Then in September the car will be brought back to the states for a final paint job. There is a new landspeed racing link that has just started. Jonathan Amo has started a new website devoted to land speed racing, called Landracing.com. It is the premier land speed racing page on the internet covering all the land speed racing events. The new site debuted May 1st and is supported by all the sanctioning bodies, and fellow racers. New features of the site are free email, web hosting services, chat server, message board, current news, live updates at the events, merchandise sales, advertisement opportunities and much much more. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
