NAE™ Project: Update

Featured Sponsors

March 6, 2010

Ladies and Gentlemen:

Today Scott Robertson, Chris Greene, Austin Waage, Omar Chramosta, Bill Eckberg, Cam Shadle, Steve Wallace, Larry Martinson, Dustin Martinson, Eric Helpenstell and Ed Shadle continue to prepare the North American Eagle™ for an early summer test session at Diamond Valley Lakebed in Nevada.

Last week the team attached and assembled the S&S Turbine Services LM1500 turbojet engine, but left the fuel lines unconnected. Scott came by this weekend to bend, flare and finish the job. By the end of the day Bill, Cam, Eric, Chris and Ed reattached the fuel gobbling afterburner section to the engine with a few bolts. Next week the engine team will complete the installation and engine should be ready to slide back in the car.

Larry started working on some inner fender wells that will be added to the mid-wheels. When complete the modification will eliminate some dirt and dust problems we encountered in our test sessions at Black Rock. Cam took time off as a 777 flight line mechanic and repaired our mid-wheel wheel doors which were damaged in our last test run.

Steve installed some conduit for our new Ecliptic Enterprises six (6) new HD onboard RocketCam™ cameras. Ed installed the final instrument in the new cockpit panel.

On Television

Next weekend the team will host a film crew from Los Angeles who will be filming material for an upcoming multi-episode Discovery Channel Show highlighting the three teams going after the 763 mph world land speed record.

To date the North American Eagle Team has appeared in numerous documentaries and every single major network. The North American Eagle™ has been featured in more than eight television shows, as well as every major television network.

On the Newsstands

If you own a Falcon Business Jet, then you have seen the North American Eagle in the latest issue of Falconer Magazine, Issue 36 / 2010. If you're not lucky enough to own a multi-million dollar business jet, the you can read The Quest To Be The Fastest Car On Earth written by Grant Kielczewski, Managing Editor on line. It features extraordinary photos of our July 2009 test session at The Black Rock Desert, and tells the story of tenacity and resourcefulness as our team challenges the 763 mph world land speed record.
