NAE™ Project: Update March 16, 2008 Ladies and Gentlemen: This coming Thursday March 20th Team North American Eagle™ will be featured on a brand new Canadian television series called Project X. The CBC (Canadian Broadcast Channel) will be shown through out Canada. US viewers who have Comcast can also view the ½ hour television show. Check your local listings for broadcast times. Project X is a new, half hour series that sets out to explore the frontiers of science in an offbeat, entertaining, but intellectually challenging manner. The show demonstrates to the viewer that science is everywhere in our lives. The episode the Eagle is featured in is called SPEED. The video team spent three weeks on the West Coast filming the team. First they traveled to Canada and visited Steve Green at Eagle Machine, Inc in Abbottsford BC. There, they filmed the construction of our high speed wheels. The following week they traveled to Spanaway, WA and filmed the team loading the car in preparation for our Black Rock Desert test runs. Finally, the film crew visited the Black Rock Desert and battled the raging dust storms filming the Eagles test run. The show will feature video capture by our Ecliptic Enterprises onboard cameras located on the rear of the car and MotoCAM 360 cameras in the cockpit. The show should include shots of the legendary land speed racers Craig Breedlove and Rosco McGlashan who visited us at Black Rock. For those who can receive the CBC production, start planning your week now and enjoy the show! We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
