NAE™ Project: Update March 22, 2007 Ladies and Gentlemen: Today Ed Shadle and Keith Zanghi worked with Barry Young and Peter Rockwell, from FARO® Technologies, to digitize some of the key components of the North American Eagle™. Using an 8 foot FaroArm, Barry Young was able to digitize the front bulkhead and canard assembly along with some suspension components that were missed last December. With the details and assemblies now captured in CATIA, the team is now able to ensure PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) integration into the entire project. We now have the tools necessary to do rapid prototyping and design. The use of the CATIA, along with our other Dassault Systemes partners - INCAT®, Verisurf Software, and CSM Software now give us the tools and technology to make a quantum leap to the next level in the project. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
