NAE™ Project:
Update

March 17, 2007

Ladies & Gentlemen:

Present at today's work party were Ed Shadle, Keith Zanghi, Jon Higley, Von Armstrong, Rob Martinsen, John Drury, Tim Finley, Omar Chramosta, Steve Wallace. It was a "minimum task" day in the hangar with a lot of little things to do.

One of our many followers submitted some pictures of his son, Dennis, to share with everyone. They came to see the McChord AFB Air Expo a couple of years ago when the NAE™ was on display. Hey, better late than never!

James Bittner from Olympus NDT dropped by with his daughter, Lillian, to swap images with Jon and Keith from last weekends borescope check.

Visiting the hangar today as a guest of Keith's was Scott Collier; with his children Brent and Corena. Keith showed them around the car and explained some of the neat features about it.

Today John, Tim, Von and Rob worked on finishing the bolting of the tail cone to the fuselage and reconnecting the various engine linkages necessary for proper operation for our next test session this summer. Tim also began work on a new instrument panel for the cockpit.

Omar, Von, Rob and Ed performed some routine preventative mainetenace on the front wheel assembly. The team is getting anxious for delivery of our new titanium - aluminum front wheels. These will alow the team to start test runs greater than 350 mph. Meeko was doing double duty on Saturday. Besides security she was providing baby sitting duties all day as he walked Moca (Keith's dog) around the shop.

We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site.
