NAE™ Project: Update Archive March 1, 2003 Ladies & Gentlemen: The NAE™ was visited by two special guests this past week. Tim, who works at Boeing of Wichita and Claudia, who is a student in Germany, stopped by while vacationing in Seattle. Claudia brought along pictures of the Blue Flame rocket car that broke the world land speed record in 1970 with Gary Gabelich driving. It is currently on display in a German museum. Work on the NAE's™ second engine was being done at the S&S Turbines Services shop in Fort St. Johns, B.C. this past week as well. These are pictures of the J79-10B unit that will be used for the actual record runs. Assembly is now near complete on the core engine, and will be test run next week. The engine will be at the Pacific International Auto & Light Truck show in B.C. Place Stadium, March 26 - April 04. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
