NAE™ Project: Update June 25, 2006 Ladies and Gentlemen: This weekend the North American Eagle™ was on display at the historic Seattle / Tacoma landmark: The B&I Marketplace. Since 1946, the residents in Puget Sound have been coming to the B&I Marketplace. It was billed as a Circus Mall because of the many animals on display, most notably Ivan the Gorilla. In 1994 Ivan was moved to the Zoo Atlanta, where he lives today. Virtually every person in the Seattle / Tacoma area over the age of 30 knows who Ivan the Gorilla is. On Saturday John Drury, Jon Higley, Steve Wallace, Libby Wallace, Rich Pengelley, Von Armstrong, Ed Drumheller II, Rob Martinson, Keith Zanghi and Ed and Elaine Shadle unloaded the NorWest Trucking / LevX Tractor Trailer. They were joined by Tom Pengelley, Russ Garlow, Alex, Rachel and Cam Shadle on Sunday. Located on one of the busiest streets in the Puget Sound, the vehicle was seen by over 100,000 people during the two day show. Signs by Tomorrow in Bellevue WA supplied all the information posters where visitors could learn more about the project. B&I Marketplace is a big supporter of the North American Eagle™ Team having sponsored our Edwards AFFTC and El Mirage test sessions. As always it was a real treat to see the youngsters come out with their parents. 50 – 60 years ago Keith & Ed were inspired by similar events. Maybe some day one of these kids will try to do something extraordinary in their life from what they saw this weekend. Whats Up Next In the next few weeks work will begin on some refinements learned from our test session at El Mirage. Eagle Machine, Inc. has taken delivery of an identical trailer that we use to transport the North American Eagle™. In the next few weeks we will be adding a door, tool boxes, graphics, drill presses, lathes and other assorted equipment as we turn it into a mobile machine shop. Keep coming back as we try to bring the record back to North America. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
