NAE™ Project:
Update Archive

June 2, 2002

Ladies & Gentlemen:

L-R: Bill Eckberb, Bill Byrn, Glenn Amy, Keith Zanghi, & Ed Shadle
L-R: Jon Higley, Bill Byrn, Glenn Amy, Keith Zanghi, & Ed Shadle

After yesterday's frustrating experience of having the power unit fail as we were loading "the beast", we finally made delivery to the Bates Technical College paint shop today. Keith found the parts store closed last night, so Ed made some calls this morning to connections and found the coil we needed. With the hydraulic rack working again, the crew finished loading her into the trailer. It was a short half-hour trip over to the Bates' south campus where we unloaded and rolled her into the large body shop facility. Now the transformation will take place over the next several weeks under the experienced supervision of Bill Byrn; ASE Master Technician. He will have about 20 students working on the painting process.

We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site.
