NAE™ Project: Update July 22, 2007 Ladies & Gentlemen: Today Ed Shadle, Keith Zanghi, Jon Higley, Bernard McVay, Sam Lehtinen, John Drury, Sam Yellowbird and Bryce Ockerman were present to work on the new steering box delivered by Steve Green. With the new suspension arrangement completed by Eagle Machine, some modification were made to the aircraft tire used for low-speed runs, and some adjustments were discovered to accomplish funcationality; something difficult to anticipate until you actually fit it up. The box was then raised into the front well and the line rescribed for removing the overhang from the outer edge. Now, the NAE™ will be able to run on either rubber or all metal wheels with the new suspension. Sam Yellowbird delivered the finished doors to the firetruck flatbed today. Now the work will begin on putting a rear panel onto the cab and the remaining details to make it fully functional. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
