NAE™ Project:
Update

July 20, 2007

Ladies and Gentlemen:

Today Ed Shadle and  Barry Young, of FARO® Technologies, digitized some of the key components of the North American Eagle™.

Using a FARO® Laser Tracker, Barry digitized a few locations that were missing from our original CATIA V5 data set.  In particular, the entire inlet area and the rear axle and strut arm assemblies.

With the details and assemblies now captured in CATIA V5, the team is now able to ensure PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) integration into the entire project.

We now have the tools necessary to do rapid prototyping and design.  The use of the CATIA, along with our other Dassault Systemes partners; INCAT®, Verisurf Software, and CSM Software, now give us the tools and technology to make a quantum leap to the next level in the project.

We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site.
