NAE™ Project:
Update

July 14, 2007

Ladies & Gentlemen,

Earlier in the week, one of our sponsors Starfighters, Inc. of Tampa Bay, Florida, proudly announced the acquisition of their new M32-60 start cart, compliments of another of our sponsors, American Valley Aviation. AVA has painted and shipped to Starfighters, Inc. the beautiful unit pictured below.

Present at the work party today were Ed Shadle, Keith Zanghi, Jon Higley, Steve Wallace, Von Armstrong, Rich & Tom Pengelley, John Winchester, Scott Robertson, Sam Yellowbird, John Drury, Bill Eckberg, Tim Finley and Meeko.

Our special guest today was Bryce Ockerman, a high school student who's chosen to do his senior project on the NAE™ project. He'll be joining us through the rest of this year to complete his research requirements for graduation.

Sam Yellowbird returned the painted viper red cab fire truck to the hangar today on his flatbed trailer. He will be bringing the doors next week after finishing up work on them. Detail work is all that's left to do on it.

Scott Robertson, from our sponsor Hydraulic Repair & Design, spent the day replacing the remaining small hydraulic tubing with larger stuff for the steering system.

Once that was completed, Keith began replacing the bulkhead plate onto the front end of the cockpit where the nose cone attaches.

The new steering box, electrical, parachutes, data acquisition sytem, and metal wheels are all coming together soon which means after another month or so, things will be ready for planning another test session sometime soon. Team NAE™ is confident the results will be good.

We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site.
