NAE™ Project: Update Archives January 11, 2006 Ladies & Gentlemen: Today, NAE™ Team members Bernard McVay, Russell Garlow, and Jon Higley visited Kokanee Elementary School in Woodinville, WA to share with Ms. Hummel's students the project's efforts to help Ed Shadle and Keith Zanghi attempt to regain the world land speed record. After introductions, the students watched the recent Megabuilders® documentary called World's Fastest Wheels aired on Discovery Canada, followed by a visit outside to learn how a jet engine works by using the cut-away display McVay towed on its trailer to the school. Students then asked questions about the car and project and before leaving, Higley presented the teacher, Ms. Hummel, with a gift of an autographed photo of Ed Shadle in front of the NAE™ on the lake bed at Edwards last fall, for the school to hang on the wall prominently. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
