NAE™ Project:
Update

February 24, 2007

Ladies and Gentlemen:

This weekend  Tim Finley, Bill Eckberg, Bernard and Dennis McVay, Jon Higley, Rich Pengelley, Steve Wallace, John Winchester, Keith  Zanghi, and Ed Shadle met for another episode of the North American Eagle™ story.

g

Special guest this week was John Austin.  John is the Director of Communications for Toray Composites.  Keith and John are co-directors for the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce.  Keith gave John the nickel tour of the project, and just like everyone else who has visited us told him to show up next week with his coveralls!

f

Steve worked on the data acquisition for high speed control using a lot of the components supplied by PCB Piezotronics

Tim worked on the hydraulic oil temperature system.   Rich rebuilt the side door latch mechanism for the hydraulics bay.  Bernard and Dennis continued working on the new rear travel axle.  After our last test session at El Mirage it became necessary to beef up the axle.

d

Jon stopped by to gather information for the website and give his cousin, David Elkins from Vacaville, CA, a tour around the shop. He recently updated his home computer system.  In the next month Jon will be working on four new websites that are offshoots of Landspeeed .com.  More information on that when it becomes available.

h

Ed, Omar, Jon, Russell, Keith and Von took turns running different shifts at the Western Aviation Conference. The team has our cut-away jet engine on display.

We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site.
