NAE™ Project: Update December 13, 2007 Ladies & Gentlemen: Today, team members Bernard McVay and Tim Finley paid a visit to Meadowdale High’s advanced auto shop class. Located in the Edmonds School District, Meadowdale is home to one of the state's most modern and advanced auto shops where students learn all the mechanics of the automobile. Our host for the day was teacher Mr. Dave Robbins. With a two hour class, Bernard and Tim were able to explain in detail the many challenges of what it takes to make NAE™ a success. After a brief introduction by Mr. Robbins and Bernard, Tim went right into explaining different systems that had to be designed, built and tested, but more importantly, the support we receive from industry and individuals. Bernard was next up; demonstrating the workings of a jet turbine engine, and our three different types of braking systems on the NAE™. Having watched the “Mega Builders” video the day before, the students were eager with questions during Q & A time. NAE™ thanks Mr. Robbins and Meadowdale H.S. for allowing us the opportunity to share our unique project with the students. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
