NAE™ Project:
Update

December 8, 2007

Ladies and Gentlemen:

Today Bernard McVay, Tim Finley, Von Armstrong, John Drury, Eric Helpenstell, Gino Sanfillipo, Keith Zanghi, and Ed Shadle showed up on a sunny Pacific Northwest Day to work on the North American Eagle™.

Unloading the NAE

Except for last weekend at the B& I Marketplace Display, the car has been sitting in the LevX® Race Car Transporter since we returned from the Black Rock desert test session.  The small group unloaded the 56 foot long Eagle into the hangar and got it ready for our winter work.  The cockpit was still full of a lot a dust left over from the Nevada desert so we removed the windshield and cleaned up the area.

In the next couple of weeks we will reassemble the car to its running condition, and bring in FARO Technologies to capture some more vehicle definition with their Laser Trackers and FaroArms.

Just a reminder coming up this week The Science Channel will be airing our one hour television program Mega Builders: Worlds Fastest Wheels three more times.

Science Channel

Since the original air date of September 22, 2005 the show has been seen all over the world and has aired in the United States over 22 times.

Jerry Lamb

The one hour show directed by Dugald Maudsley features the activities leading up to our first successful test run.  The show follows the team as they travel to Magna-Force in Port Angeles, WA and see the remarkable LevX® braking system.  Then on to Canada to Eagle Machine, Inc to see the building of the all metal wheels and finally to S&S Turbine Services in Fort St John BC where the team performs engine test on the 42,500 hp LM 1500 Turbojet.

You can read more about Dugald Maudsley on the very popular IMDb website.

The show will air on the following dates.  Check your local listings for exact time.  Times listed are for Eastern Standard Time.  The rest of the country your time may vary depending on if you have cable or satellite.  Check your local listings for exact time.
