NAE™ Project:
Update

The Thanksgiving Holiday Southern Tour is Dedicated to Ed Drumheller II

Team North American Eagle™ would like to thank the following companies for sponsoring our Aerospace Testing Expo 2006, El Mirage Test Session # 5 and The John Force Holiday Auto Show appearance: LEV-X®, PCB Piezotronics, Inc, McVay Mobile Welding, Seattle BioDiesel, Small & Sons Petroleum, Eagle Machine, Inc., and ITR North America.

December 3, 2006

Ladies & Gentlemen:

h

You knew Sunday was going to be fun because starting around the crack of dawn, hot rodders from around the Southern California area converged onto John Force Racing Headquarters in Yorba Linda, CA. This upscale town was awakened by the sound of supercharged “street” cars as they were unloaded from the trailers and parked along the streets surrounding the JFR facility.

Team NAE™ was here to help out John Force Racing bring in gifts for kids during the holiday season. The “Chips for Kids” program distributes the donations to children in the surrounding counties. The California Highway Patrol was in “Force”, so to speak, as they shook hands with everyone and orchestrated the donated toys brought in by everyone in attendance.

Tim Finley, Jon Higley, Ed and Elaine Shadle, Steve and Libby Wallace, Keith Zanghi, Rich and Tom Pengelley, Cameron and Rachel Shadle and John Drury took turns throughout the day standing in at the North American Eagle™ display and talking with the public.

Tom, from What-A-Shine and one of our sponsors, came by on Saturday & Sunday and detailed and waxed the Eagle in preparation for the huge crowds. On Saturday, the car was filthy from the El Mirage test session from a couple of weeks prior.

When he got done, it was as if we'd sprayed a coat of clear topcoat over the entire vehicle. It shined from end to end. Good thing all the California Highway Patrol Officers were wearing sunglasses or they may have been blinded from the sun reflecting off the just waxed surface! A big thank you goes out to Tom for coming by and making us look so good!

John Force might be the busiest guy in North America, but one of his top crew chiefs, Bernie Fedderle came by and spent some time with Keith and Ed.

Last year John Force Racing brought in 5000 toys. This year a whopping 6500 was collected. Team NAE™ had a lot to do with the increase due to the full page stories written in the Orange County Register the week before and its appearance at Aerospace Testing Expo 2006. Dozens of people stopped by to say they came to the show only to see the Eagle. The bottom line is everything went to charity and this holiday season will be a little bit better for kids who might have otherwise gone without a gift from Santa.

Just as we were the first to arrive, the Eagle was the last to leave the complex.  By the time we were ready to leave, the only one left was John Force himself.  Like we said… he must be the busiest guy in North America.

We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site.
