NAE™ Project: Update Archives August 29, 2000 Ladies & Gentlemen: This past week the team has been very busy. We had some success, and some failures. Since good news can wait, here is the bad news. We are still experiencing problems with loading the North American Eagle™ into the transporter trailer. They say third times a charm, well it wasn't this time. We tried again unsuccessfully to put the 52 ft long vehicle into the trailer. We have a couple more ideas, so we will be trying those soon. One of these days we will get it right. The success of the week was we did get some more work completed. Harbor Foam came out and we applied some polyurethane foam to the area that was once occupied by the wing roots. We installed a structural foam, used in experimental aircraft. Next step is to contour shape the material to the exact drawing requirements. We should have pictures in the next week or so. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
