NAE™ Project:
Update Archives

April 1, 1998

Ladies & Gentlemen:

The NAE™ Team headed to the Lonestar State this past week at the invitation of the American Chemical Society (ACS). This 215th meeting of the ACS filled the Dallas Convention Center with hundreds of booths showcasing the very latest in Laboratory Supplies for Industry, Government and Education.

Ed Shadle and Keith Zanghi gave the one hour presentation in the very middle of the show floor in an area disignated as the Amphitheater. The elaborate stage was custom built for ACS, and will be transported throughout America for future shows.

The team met some wonderful people and the audience was appreciative of the efforts. A special thanks goes to Theresa and Scott from ACS. The presentation consisted of the history, developement and present day status of land speed racing. In addition the team stressed it's involvement with the Race Against Drugs RAD program, and its commitment to education...Something the ACS is deeply involved with.

After the meeting Ed and Keith met with ACS representatives to discuss a joint educational effort between ACS and RAD, utilizing the North American Eagle™ as the "hook" that gets kids involved in positive activities, all the while stressing education and the RAD motto of Winners Don't Use Drugs.

We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site.
