NAE™ Project:
Update

April 5, 2008

Ladies & Gentlemen:

Today's work party took place once again at the Spanaway Airport where we conducted a second engine run check. Present were Ed Shadle, Keith Zanghi, Jon Higley, Bill Eckberg, Steve & Libby Wallace, Tim Finley, Bernard McVay, Rich Pengelley, Rob Martinson, Omar Chramosta, Gino Sanfilipo, John Winchester, Mike Thoe, John Drury, John Zambrano, Dave Selby and Von Armstrong. Guests at today's event were David and Jordon Zanghi, brother and nehpew of Keith's.

40 years ago, Jordan's dad, Dave, stood along side Craig Breedloves Spirit of America Sonic 1 next to his brother Keith. Dave (on the right) was about the same age as Jordan back then. Maybe 40 years from now Jordan will be building his own land speed challenger.

Today, the team successfully removed a major "monkey" off its back. By determining which of our voltage regulators allowed the car's on-board electrical system to maintain proper voltage levels, we are now able to to supply power to our fuel pumps. This now makes it possible to generate proper fuel pressure for use with the engine's afterburner.

Other modifications will now be able to move forward in preparation for this spring's test session to take the NAE™ into the 400 and 500 mph speed range. Be sure to check back here as the project now moves into phase three - mid to high speed testing for our assault on the record.
