Team North American Eagle™ is pleased to announce a brand new sponsor to the project. SpaceAge Control will be supplying the project with Miniature Displacement Transducers. These all-environment Miniature Displacement Transducers are also referred to as draw wire transducers, string pots, string encoders, cable extension transducers, and yo yo pots. SpaceAge Control position transducers are noted for their small size, rugged performance, accuracy, flexible mounting, and easy installation. Data Acquisition Scientist Steve Wallace will be utilizing two of these units to monitor suspension travel and canard movement. The information will be sent directly to the PCB Piezotronics, Inc / Larson Davis Data Acquisition system that will then send signals to the Rockwell Automation / Allen Bradley Control Logic to actuate canard movement to keep the car in a safe attitude.
