TeamNAE™: Meet Alan "Al" Allen “Al” Von Hollen is S&S Turbine Services head mechanic and Robin Sipe’s go to guy. Al is the quintessential jet engine mechanic. He leads the S&S Turbine Services Team in the shop and at the test cell. At the remote test cell he orchestrates the crew around the dangerous jet engine tests. When performing engine tests he carefully selects each step as if he was standing on the edge of a cliff. With huge suction on one end that can pull a man into the spinning blades to the fire breathing dragon at the rear belching 50 foot flames, and in between high frequency harmonics that can leave a man paralyzed….one step too close and it could be fatal. Team North American Eagle™ is proud to have Al on the team. Even though he is 800 miles to the North, he is only a phone call away. Along with Bill Eckberg, Sean Rondestvedt, Dave Selby, Harry Veldman, John Zambrano, Robin Sipe, Dave Wood, Brian Maddigan and Lane McCabe the North American Eagle™ has more engine knowledge than any previous group to ever challenge the world land speed record for automobiles in the unlimited class. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
