TeamNAE™:
Meet

Bill Eckberg
Crew Chief, Jet Engine Mechanic

bill eckbergBill joined the Air Force in 1975. He worked at Hill AFB, Utah for 4.5 years with the 388th TAC Fighter Wing where he was crew chief on F-4D & F-16A&B model aircraft. Bill was part of the first F-16 aircraft to arrive at Hill AFB & worked with pilots from Belgium while they trained there.

In 1986, Bill was hired on at Boeing's Everett Facility where he's worked for the past 16 years. He works as a general flight line maintainance technician on the 747, 757, 767, and 777 aircraft.

Bill found out about the NAE Project through our crew member Russ and has grown, over a couple of months of volunteering, to understand and appreciate the significance of this project. As he so aptly put it, "I was sold on the volunteer work to make this bad lady sing once more."

We're glad to have you on board, Bill. It will be an experience of a lifetime!
