Today Ed Shadle, Keith Zanghi, Lars Pedersen, Les Holm, Steve Rima and Andrew Kirk were at the North American Eagle™ hangar in Parkland WA to continue preparations for next year’s run.
Today the team worked on electrical systems. Steve, Andrew and Ed were running wires all day. A full size blueprint was taped on the side of the Eagle so the crew could work through the thousands of wires. Les and Lars are modifying the steering to now include an autmatic centering position. Details and assemblies will be machined during the week and installed next week.
Finally our friend George Barris was laid to rest. Not surprisingly, the King of Kustom had a pretty cool coffin prepared by his friends, which include airbrushings of his famous cars and wings! A kind and gentle man, RIP George.
