Today’s work party: Ed Shadle, Keith Zanghi, Lars Pedersen, Les Holm, Chris Greene, Von Armstrong, Ani Simon, Steve Wallace, Steve Rima, Omar Chramosta and Chris Banks.
We had a couple of visitors this weekend. Col. Jack Brake, U.S. Army (ret) a friend of Von’s visited the hangar. Von gave him a complete tour of the Eagle from front to back. A friend of Chris Greene came by, Desert Lueras.
Ani inspects communications wiring
Steve Rima, Steve Wallace and Ani Simon worked on a ground radio interface so that Ed and Jessi can talk to the ground crew and the entire team. In the past, communication has been limited to the drivers and ground crew. Down track team members can now relay and listen to communications while a run is underway. Safety will be greatly improved through improved communications.
Lars, Les, and Ed worked on the steering system. We still have some gremlins but will work though them. Chris Banks, who takes care of our computer hardware, spent some time setting up our mobile audio visual system for the hangar. Now we can show videos to our visitors to the shop.
