Clocking in for another Saturday work session: Ed Shadle, Ken Broyles, Steve Rima, Von Armstrong, Lars Pedersen, Jason Mitchell, Rich Pengelley, Andrew Kirk, Bernard McVay, Steve Wallace, Brandyn Bayes, Blake Sanders, Keith Zanghi, Omar Chramosta
Andrew was busy conducting a personal tour of the Eagle and the hangar. He showed his friend, Kaelyn, why he liked working with the team. Kaelyn got some time in the cockpit and she ended up doing the roller coaster wave.
After time out for last weekend, the team got back into the swing of things today. Getting the wheels ready for a thorough inspection was high on the todo list. Several cases of high tech equipment were delivered to Ed during the week, to be followed by a team of technicians from Anchorage, Alaska. Envision CMOS Digital Xray System will be bringing even more equipment and setting up for a digital Xray scan of our running wheels. It can detect the most minute flaw or imperfection in the aluminum. Rated at 8000rpm , the wheels must be in top condition for high speed runs coming up in the fall. For more information about the process, check out the website: cmosXray.com
Keith drove our newly acquired motorhome/com center to the hangar today for more work in its transformation. Steve Rima began installing new wire runs to provide power to the radios and computer systems. It took some doing, but Steve and Von managed to pull a new wire bundle through existing channels located behind a cupboard and panel walls. A lot of work remains, but our new mobile communications center will be a major improvement to our project when completed.
Bernard drove his pickup down from north of Seattle, the bed loaded with our two big work ladders. They have a nice new yellow powder coating that will stand out and hold up. Alternative Blasting and Powder Coating Inc. did some fine work.

Steve Wallace and Brandyn did some conversing in computer language today and Steve was busy with his Lenovo laptop, establishing the wireless communication system for the on board data acquisition equipment.
The new Lenovo Thinkstation and laptops have provided the team with state of the art capabilties in engineering, aerodynamic design and analysis, and infinite storage and communication uses. Today, Brandyn and Keith produced some new podcast videos that relate how the North American Eagle team makes good use of Lenovo systems; systems that work together with other programs to make up a total computer design package. Our team aerodynamicists have it all at their fingertips .
New Lenovo Support
A new level of support from Lenovo is changing the landscape in our operations. In the very near future, the Landspeed.com website will be residing on servers on loan from Lenovo. A new ThinkServer will now be hosting all the content from the website, and provide storage for our engineering and intellectual property needs.
Lenovo is heavily embedded into our daily operations, with ThinkPads and ThinkStations providing support for website production, engineering consisting of mechanical and structural analysis and aerodynamic capabilities. Now we are pleased to announce the addition of new Lenovo ThinkServers to the North American Eagle™ team.
