June 26, 2002

"The Human Edge" premiers Saturday June 29, 2002

    8:00 PM ET/PT

Ladies & Gentlemen:

NG Human Edge A reminder that this weekend the North American Eagle will be appearing on national television.  For those with cable or satellite the NAE will be featured on National Geographic The Human Edge.  The 1/2 hour show will feature a segment highlighting the activities of Andy Green, Craig Breedlove, and Rosco McGlashon.  Check your local listings for the channel in your area.

Painting continues on the NAE as Bates Technical College students applied the Viper Red paint this week.  The results are phenomenal! A 100% change.  The quality is everything Bates and PPG said it was going to be.  The work will be completed by Friday.  This coming Monday (7/1) Russ Garlow will start applying the graphics while Bill Eckberg handles the glow in the dark paint additives.  The students at Bates Technical College are doing an outstanding job on the car.  It has become a class project that they will remember for the rest of their lives and one they can be very proud of.

This past weekend the team worked on a lot of the stuff that seems to take a bake seat to the vehicle.  We got a good start on some crucial ground support equipment and made some dramatic improvements in our loading procedure.  This weekend will be more of the same.
