NAE™ Project: Update May 20, 2009 Ladies & Gentlemen: As part of the NAE™ Classroom Outreach, Russell Garlow and Jon Higley traveled to Eugene, Oregon's Cal Young Middle School where they presented to 6th & 8th grade Science class students in Mr. Kresko's room. Students were shown an 50 minutes PowerPoint presentation while they took notes for questions provided to them on a hand-out. Cal Young students were attentive, focused, and interested in the various complex aspects of the project; from the history of land speed racing to the innovative technology and the motive behind why someone would want to attempt such a thing. Mr. Kresko gifted Cal Young M.S. items to both Jon & Russ at the end of the day as a gesture of appreciation for their coming to present for the day. We wish to thank Mr. Kresko for inviting us to come and the experience was very enjoyable. We hope we will be invited back again in the future. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
