NAE™ Project: Update Archive May 8, 2006 Ladies & Gentlemen: We are pleased and proud to announce that Patrick Smith, our team medical specialist, has just completed his Registered Nurse exams. He took a hiatus from the project to complete his schooling over the past year and a half.
Patrick earned his ADN from Pierce College in Puyallup, WA in March and passed the State boards for his Registered Nurse (RN) license last week (May 3rd). This exam, called the NCLEX-RN exam, was a grueling 4-hour exam that makes him eligible to practice as a nurse anywhere in the United States. In the next few weeks, his hope is to begin a 4-6 month critical care nursing residency program. He has already been interviewed at two local hospitals for one of a limited number of spaces and feels confident that he will be selected for one of those positions. His future goal is to complete his advanced nursing degree through the University of Washington. The whole team congratulates Patrick on his accomplishment and will be pleased to see him around the hangar again. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
