NAE™ Project: Update June 14, 2008 (Photos by Russ Garlow) Ladies & Gentlemen: Last Tuesday, Ed Shadle, Keith Zanghi, Jon Higley, John Drury and were on hand to load the NAE™ into the NAE™ transport trailer. Several of the team made an appearance today to help with the organizing and loading of support equipment and tools into the second semi-trailer. The quantity of materials and gear that accompanies the NAE™ is exstensive, but necessary to maintain our #1 objective; safety first! From screwdrivers to our massive sixty foot long shelter, the "Eagle's Nest", provided by WRS Cover-all, everything has to go along to support this highly complex operation. Keith Zanghi and Jon Higley, along with helped place gear into specific tubs for loading. John Winchester showed Von Armstrong how to pack parachutes since John won't be able to attend. Ed removed the drag beam from trailer #2, while Russ Garlow and Rich Pengelley tried cleanning up the mess on the trailer floor only to discover they created a dust cloud. Later in the afternoon, some of the team took semi-trailer #2 back to Spanaway Airport to load the shelter pieces and the port-a-potty into it. Our next update will be posted as soon as possible upon our return to Washington state in early July. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
