NAE™ Project: Update January 28, 2009 Ladies & Gentlemen: Today Ed Shadle and Jon Higley were guest speakers at Emerald Ridge High School's Science/Technology Symposium. Presenting at three session throughout the morning, Ed and Jon shared with full classes in the aviation classroom about the project's mission, experiences, and innovative technologies which have been integrated into the car to make it as safe as possible. A forty-five minute PowerPoint presentation which included video clips of tests were followed by a Q & A session. Students were also able to use one of the magnets used on the NAE™'s rear wheels to experience the resistance flux generated when the magnet is moved next to an alumimum bar. Students, guests who came by to see, and Mr. Coleman, our host, were highly pleased with the topic and presentation format. We were very happy to have the opportunity to share with the students about the skills it takes to make a project like this happen. If you are interested in having a class, or school presentation at your school, you are encouraged to contact the webmaster who will happily schedule you. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
