NAE™ Project: Update Archives January 26, 2005 Ladies & Gentlemen: Today Bernard and Shad McVay, John Drury, Keith Zanghi and Ed Shadle traveled to Kelso, WA and home to one of the North American Eagle™ sponsors: Interstate Wood Products Inc.
The same mechanics who service the Interstate fleet of Freightliners hauling wood chips throughout the Northwest performed some major repair work on the LevX® Tractor. They put in a brand new clutch, replaced a defective injector and installed a new muffler. In addition, they fixed a bad throttle control and greased the entire undercarriage. After driving the tractor home, NAE™ Transporter driver, John Drury says, “We can take on any hill now!” That's good news for the team and with the help of Interstate Wood Products we look forward to traveling in the future with confidence. While we were there, Don Lemmons took us over to the race car shop to show Bernard and Shad the 224 MPH 1997 Freightliner Bonneville Racer. Shad recently signed up to be a diver in the United States Navy. He is now thinking of becoming a Bonneville Truck Driver! Team North American Eagle™ is proud to be associated with Interstate Wood Products. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
