NAE™ Project: Update Archives February 4, 1997 Ladies & Gentlemen: MSN subscribers.....Kim Wolfkill, MSN's Racing Columnist has a feature story on Ed Shadle's efforts to challenge the world land speed record. An excellent article that the webmaster is trying to get permission to reprint for landspeed.com visitors. In the mean time, if you have a MSN account, or know someone that does, surf on over! The Meadowlands show is history, and what a success! The North American Eagle™ (NAE) team would like to thank the thousands of fans who stopped by to say hello. John Kung was present at the first half of the show, while Ed and Cameron Shadle took up positions during the last half. The team made a lot of contacts. One possibility could be an appearance at an Atlantic City Casino, owned by a gentleman who has an interest in the Trump Plaza. We'll keep you posted. The next appearance on the NAE World Tour is the beautiful SkyDome in Toronto Canada. Mark your calendars now Canada, because on February 12th, in the shadow of the CN Tower, Ed Shadle and John Kung will start the 48,000 horsepower GE J-79 engine and open the 1997 Canadian International Autoshow. For three hours the City of Toronto will shut down the entire street in front of the CN Tower, as the NAE shoots 70 foot flames and drives through a banner, officially opening this years show. US fans can stop by since Niagara Falls is only a short one hour drive away. The webmaster has already received many e-mails of viewers who said they will be coming by to say hello. Besides the CN Tower, Toronto is a beautiful city, with many attractions for the entire family. If your an auto fan, than the real show will be in the SkyDome. The NAE Team will be located directly across from the Williams-Renault Formula One Team, and surrounded by manufacturer displays from Ferrari, Lamborgini, Vector and Lotus. Talk about your neighborhood! The team is still negotiating with the USAF, and it looks like most of the concerns have been addressed. We should have an answer on Edwards AFB by the Toronto show. The website you are reading now is the official and most economical medium to get through to our viewers. If you have any suggestions, comments or criticisms, please let us know. It is the only way we can improve our process. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
