NAE™ Project: Update February 13, 2010 Ladies and Gentlemen: This weekend had Team members scattered from Oregon to Washington. On Friday, Steve Wallace, Keith Zanghi and Cam and Ed Shadle traveled to Portland to give a speech to the Northwest Bonneville Racers Association. Land speed racers from all over the Northwest showed up on Friday night to hear the four talk about the North American Eagle project. It was a great night had by all, with a great question and answer period. Following in the tradition set by Ed Drumheller, the next day Cam, Steve and Ed took a sightseeing tour of the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum in McMinnville, Oregon's museum. The top attraction museum is Howard Hughes Spruce Goose. On the Newsstands If you own a Falcon Business Jet, then you have seen the North American Eagle in the latest issue of Falconer Magazine, Issue 36 / 2010. If you're not lucky enough to own a multi-million dollar business jet, the you can read The Quest To Be The Fastest Car On Earth written by Grant Kielczewski, Managing Editor on line. It features extraordinary photos of our July 2009 test session at The Black Rock Desert, and tells the story of tenacity and resourcefulness as our team challenges the 763 mph world land speed record. And last month Team North American Eagle made the front cover and great story written by Don Talend. The January 2010 issue of GPS World Magazine describes how we have integrated the Topcon GPS unit into the vehicle.
