NAE™ Project: Meet Chris Greene Chris Greene is full card carrying member of the North American Eagle™ Team! His name is on the car to prove it! He has been coming to the hangar since he was 14 years old! We first met Chris at the 2008 Tacoma MotorSports show along with his dad Tad. He spent a long time talking to the team, and when he found out he lived just down the street of the Eagle's hangar, he asked if he could come by. Ed Shadle recognizes talent when he sees it, so he told Chris to come back the following weekend, but this time bring his coveralls!
Well he has been coming by ever since and we have put him to work and he is a big part of the Team North American Eagle™. He is learning how to drill precision aircraft quality holes, assembling the vehicle components, and refinishing GSE (Ground Support Equipment). Chris is in the 10th grade at Bethel Senior High School. He is also into Freestyle BMX racing and races a Suzuki RMZ 250 motorcycle in local motocross racing.
During the last two years Chris has traveled with the team to the Black Rock Desert on two different test sessions. Along the way he has gotten a chance to meet some pretty amazing people. On his 16th birthday, his parents gave him Col. Joe Kittinger's Book, Come Up and Get Me. Three days later he got to me this American Hero in person!

At Bethel High School where Chris attends he has been competing in the FIRST Robotics Competition for the past two years. FIRST was founded in 1989 to inspire young people's interest and participation in science and technology. Dean Kamen, the founder said it best regarding the reason for FIRST "To transform our culture by creating a world where science and technology are celebrated and where young people dream of becoming science and technology leaders." Team North American Eagle™ travels to schools talking about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Chris is learning those STEM subjects working on the Eagle each week, along with learning what team work is first hand. He competes in motocross and BMX racing. Chris reminds us of how we were at that age...See you in the winner's circle Chris!
We know a lot of our fans are on facebook. Now the North American Eagle™ is on facebook! In fact many of our team members are also! Tell your friends! It's fun! We are excited Chris is on the team. We invite you to add a comment, or remark, about our program or the site. Interested in helping us make history and bring the record back to North America? Here's how!
