Eric Helpenstell
Fire Support
Eric Helpenstell began his career in the emergency services field right out of HS at age 18. Fighting wildland fires for the State of Washington put him through University with a degree in engineering. From this early start Mr. Helpenstell formed Pacific Wildfire in 1994 as a private fire rescue company that serviced federal, state, and corporate clients. In only 8 years Pacific Wildfire became the largest supplier of wildfire engines and crews in the United States. In 2006 Pacific Wildfire dissolved with Mr. Helpenstell forming Praetorian International. Praetorian picks up where Pacific Wildfire left off servicing the same clientele domestically, and adding a marine operation, logistics, and emergency medicine to the lineup. Praetorian now includes clients in the United States, Japan, Indonesia, United Kingdom, UAE, and is expanding in 2010 to include Argentina.
Eric and his wife Annette are the proud parents of four girls ranging in age from 14 years to 10 months and call Gig Harbor Washington home.
Eric's role on the team is one of fire support with the rest of the fire suppression members.
