Ron Doll - Aerodynamics/
Computational Fluid Dynamics
Ron Doll graduated with a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from Wichita State University. Ron has over 20 years experience in Aerodynamics and Stability & Control analysis with Boeing. His primary area of interest is in aerodynamic data prediction, with a strong background in wind tunnel testing, flight testing and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics). . Ron has been recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the use of CFD for Stability & Control. He is responsible for leading the development of CFD technology for Stability & Control applications for all Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

Ron and his team of aerodynamicist have the task of stabilizing the North American Eagle™ at speed. Transonic shock waves begin developing around the Eagle at speeds starting at mach 0.7 Ron's job is to analyze aerodynamic features on the Eagle so it will remain stable and safe up to 800 mph.
Using programs like Dassault Systèmes CATIA design software on our Lenovo ThinkStations and W700 ThinkPad Rex Walter and Mike Thoe can design aerodynamic structures for Ron to then export into other CFD programs and analyzed how they react. It is a complex process and Ron and his counterparts are the foremost designers in the world.
We know a lot of our fans are on facebook. Now the North American Eagle™ is on facebook as well! In fact many of our team members are also! Tell your friends! It's fun!
