Hey you guys,

Just saw you on the Discovery channel - "MegaBuilders".

I watched the program with my 3 yr old daughter, and taught her about "Determination" and what it means to keep focused on your vision.

Wanted to thank both of you for making the lesson so much easier. Anything the average Canadian citizen can do to help or support, please let us know.

Loving what you're doing, and "God's Speed" to you Ed.

Daddy and Raejean Renn - August 7, 2008

Hi,

Ive just seen the Discovery Channel Show,   Mega Builders: World's Fastest Wheels  here in the UK.

I have always loved LSR attempts and am a great fan of Team Thrust and Andy Green.

I just wanted to wish Team North American Eagle good fortune in your endeavour.

I look forward to news of your success.

Best regards,

Phil Austin - August 6, 2008

Come on folks, all of us "little people" collectively donate a great deal of the needed fins that this project needs and deserves.   Let's get behind all these volunteers and do our part in bringing back the landspeed record to the USA!!!  I know any or all of us would LOVE to to actually be able to volunteer with helping make history with the North American Eagle but even though we can't physically be there we can send then even just a couple bucks to help finance this AWESOME team.  Please step up to the plate and donate a few bucks!!

Stories travel around the globe with an amazing pace....

Received an e-mail today with the beautiful Eagle Story, received it from a former co-worker in the U.S.  I've been back in my native Sweden (moved back to Sweden in 1995)  I was absolutely thrilled to read the story about Freedom and Jeff - sometimes you 'connect' with an animal - in a way you never would have guessed possible. I was touched reading the story - I sure hope you both are doing well, whish you all the best of luck  :-)

best regards

Jack and I wish to thank you again on behalf of our SSR Fanatics club for giving us a great talk on your work on the Northwest American Eagle.  Jack and I had seen your documentary on the Discovery Channel just last week and were very excited to be able to see your project in person.  Our thanks to Gino for bringing us there and to your crew for letting us interrupt your work.  Ed was very impressive to hear talk about the great things you are doing.  Best of luck to all of you and again, thanks for taking the time to let our group tour your facility.  There are some great pictures on our Pacific Northwest SSR Fanactic site, by going to SSR Fanatics.com and go to the Pacific Northwest Region under the LeMay Run thread.

Great to see a couple of my old work mates on the team. I've known Bill Eckberg and Rich Pengelley for years and it's good to see them as involved as they are. Kind of wish I were still in western Washington. Best of luck and fortune to all of you.

Gentlemen,

Yesterday over here in Cleveland Ohio, 'The History Channel' cable television network showed a documentory on your efforts with The North American Eagle.

Having grown up in the 60's and not far from Akron Ohio which was the home of Art Arfons, I remember as a young boy that Arts efforts were very well publicized not only for his skillls but his vision as well to go where no others have gone. These were truely inspirational times in America that sadly have been forgotten however I must say that to view your efforts was like a breath of fresh air in todays cookie cutter world.

I always was amazed at the dedication and the bravery of the people like Art and you fellows who had the courage to look alittle bit over the edge and strive for that little bit more and from what I saw yesterday you Gentlemen should be truely proud of what you are trying to accomplish. Success or not you gentlemen are to be commemded for keeping the spirit of adventure alive and well.

Thank You, for sharing your efforts with all of America and best of luck in your quest for the record.

Sincerly...Bob Kurkowski - May 8, 2008

Hi guys & gals,
I just had to write and say thank you for doing this. I am a 30yr autos teacher in Flagstaff, AZ and a proud American! In today's times it's hard to see what America is all about, kids that don’t want to work, every thing made in China and so on. I am glad to see the "Dream" and ingenuity of America alive and well! Press on make us proud, my prayers and and hopes are with you.

Thank you,
Brian Locke - May 7, 2008

I wish you all the best of luck.  I saw the project on television and I hope that you can bring the record back home safely.  Gary Gabelich was my Uncle from my mothers side of the Gabelich family.  He was a true hero to me.  I have collected many items of his over the years.  I wish you all the very best of luck.  Please keep me posted as to your progress.  I would love to be there in person to see the record broken.  We need it back home.

As Gary would say "don't wish it... make it happen"

I just heard your interview with NPR and was shocked to hear that you're having trouble finding sponsors at all. I think there are plenty of potential backers because of your venerable age, not in spite of it!!

Whoever is helping you on your PR needs to be changing their pitch to corporate sponsors, and to whom they're pitching. After all, you'd be a hero to the baby boomer market! How long have you been an American Express card holder? I can see the ad now...

I'm young and I want to see you in that seat, you've earned it!!

I was watching the documentary about your team on TV when my 9-year-old son walked in the room and blurted out, “Hey, we saw that ‘rocket car’ at Edwards Open House. It had metal wheels.” You know, I think he was right (several years ago).

We both watched the rest of the show, mesmerized with the struggles your team faces… and overcomes!

Best of luck – we are pulling for you guys.

Jon, a.k.a. (Mr. Higley) you guys are doing a great job. I’m an old student of yours from Twin Lakes. I stopped in a few years ago and you were telling me about this project. I was watching the documentary on the North American Eagle™. I saw you on the show and just had to say hi and great job.

By the way, I remember you because you were, and are, a great teacher.
